Vista problems have nothing to do with the features, although I did find it amusing that someone said "wow that is much faster". To which I can tell them with absolute certainty it won't be when they get it home. Vista uses more resources than XP, this is just a fact, its exactly why there are these stupid "Vista Ready" logos on laptops and premade Desktops, etc...The features themselves are fine, and they ought to be since most of them were stolen from OSX:

The real problems are with gaming where it has consistently been shown in Benchmarks to be slower than XP, especially when using DX10. There are also driver issues but that has been getting better slowly.

I'm willing to wait until they are serious about supporting a 64bit OS as the primary SKU before I upgrade to a new OS, plenty of folks on this site like Ben and myself have tried vista ourselves and I know Ben switched back where as I just formatted that drive and got rid of the dual boot (I just wanted to try it myself, didn't intend on keeping it). Keep in mind that most people are paying hundreds of dollars for Vista and then choosing not to use it (luckily I got a free copy from my school) thats where the horror stories came from to start with.

Of course when you have everything set up on a machine designed to run it smoothly in a controlled setting you might get a different result..but then is that so shocking?
