I'll make it simple, a top 5:
5. Halo 3 (Xbox 360): A good conclusion to the Halo trilogy. Now what are they going to do with Master Chief? I can't wait for the next game;
4. Half-Life 2: Episode Two (Xbox 360/PS3/PC): All I can say is this: Wow, what a shock! Bring Episode Three ASAP Valve;
3. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (Wii): I really liked the new direction Retro decided to take with Samus and the Federation. A little bit more story-driven this time, and it doesn't hurt the series at all! A little on the easy side though;
2. Mass Effect (Xbox 360/PC): The story was just epic (wow at the ending, man!), reminded me of Star Trek a bit. Awesome gameplay as well. Please BioWare, make the second one as epic as this one, at least;
1. Metal Gear Solid 4 (PS3): Best end to a series ever. Kojima didn't miss a single detail. Very impressive graphics and in-game cutscenes. The new features were a good addition (OctoCamo, Drebin Shop).
