The bags of angst?  The characters I couldn't care about or sympathize with?  The pretentious plot whose religious references felt like an afterthought?  The dismal pacing?  The obvious plot twists?

I don't really know what to pick, there are just too many options to choose from.

I don't think the ending was an obvious plot twist.

Anyway, Haruhi is an example of an anime I particularly like.
