 Microsoft isn't looking for hardcore gamers on this one. This price drop is to steal sales from the Wii so average parents won't know the difference and think that a 20GB/60GB for $100 is a great value.

I think they are focusing on shutting down sales of the PS2 more then anything.  This price drop will do more to kill the PS2 off then affect the Wii, although it may affect it somewhat.
