Why would you use new ips to determine sales of an existing ip? I already mentioned in my other post replying to you about Boom Blox and No More Heroes. As for third party sales. Please tell me some BIG existing Ips on the wii that sold poorly. Oh and btw smash bros casual? Oh and by the way I coudl do the same with the PS3 OMGZ Battlefield:Bad COmpany sold 300k. Ps3 doesn't sell core third party games. My other post if you missed it. @Talkingparrot No More Heroes is the best selling Grasshopper game, and sold more than a multiplat on the ps2, and gamecube by many times. Boom Blox was advertised to the wrong audience and has excellent legs btw. How about you look at existing ips like Resident Evil to compare with an existing IP. ANd that is a game that targets one demograph while KH targets many. |
The irony is, Battlefield Bad Company is about to break the 1 million barrier, and it will break the 1 million barrier at the end of this months. That is the grace of multiplatform. As for big existing 3rd party IPs that have sold poorly, I'll ask you to look at - Call of duty, Far Cry, or any of the other PS3 / 360 titles that are ported down.
