But seeing as the ps3 uses core technologie and has an upgradable hard drive wouldn't it seem obvious to just download games onto the ps3 as well, instead of using disks. |
You still need to have the disc in the tray for the 360 system, so really theres no point to doing this on the 360 besides marginally (as per XBots regarding the installs for PS3 games) improved install times. Its quicker and easier to just switch discs, 'am I right boys? uh? Uh?
Seriously though, you do need to have the disc in the tray, I personally will never use this feature as that I only have 8 gigs free on my HDD right now, and would rather use that for games and Rock Band DLC than for taking maybe a total of 2 or 3 minutes of total load time over a 40 hour game out.
My preference I guess, as for the PS3, same thing as above, but even worse since most their games are much larger.
I own all three current consoles and a great gaming rig, now thats out of the way.

"is it Wii FIt that has sold as many as PS3's sold? Thats a LOL Look at the total sales of software is it just me that sees Nintendo titles hitting 10m+ and you say they arent making a difference? Another LOL!"
"Hell, with all the negative hype Sony spin, people just aren't interested cost is too high and to get the true HD experience (1080p, 7.1 surround) you will need a $1000+ system. THAT IS GOING TO DO IT IN A RECESSION! PS4 will not happen"
