Nah, forget the dl and install method. I want carts back. They are much quicker, no moving parts, more reliable, more durable, and based on flash memory could be 1/4th the physical size of a disc, thus easier to store in mass.

The only drawback is production costs for the memory size required. I truly hope that is resolved prior to the next gen. Give us a 10-20gb flash memory card at a cost of $2-$4 per cart and I'll pay the extra cost in the games price.

Think about it if you could pay $50-$60 for a disc that get scratched, takes up a lot of space relatively speaking, has long pauses between gameplay and startup, increases your systems chances for breaking, etc.

OR

pay $55-$65 for a flash cart type of game that you can toss into a drawer or little plastic box and pretty much never worry about it being defective.

Umm yeah new flash based carts FTW!
