I've had 1 RROD only, but I'm going to be on my 6th console when my current one returns (I just RROD'd about a week or so ago). Getting it fixed is rather painless. The coffin arrives, off goes the 360, and in 10 days or so, I'll see a new one.

I keep coming back for the games. Period. There are more than double the number of titles on the 360 than there are on the PS3 and that is only a recent development. A few months ago, it was more like 5:1. I have really enjoyed some of the titles on my 360...

I would use an analogy to compare: Let's say you bought a really fast, fun car. I mean really fast and really fun... And it broke regularly. If they dealer picked it up from your house after a phone call, fixed it, and parked it in your garage at no cost, would you put up with it? A lot of people would. Clearly many wouldn't but a lot of people would admit they love driving the car and would put up with it.

And so we do.

Now, with that said, if Microsoft had built a very solid piece of electronics from the beginning, I believe their sales numbers would be easily 50% more than they are now. The whole RROD blowup started right around the PS3's arrival into the marketplace. It was fuel for the opposition... It would be interesting to be able to see what, in a parallel universe, the 360 would have done had the hardware been rock solid...
