Think maybe it's the gameplay? =P
Mines probably Star Wars: Rebellion. It's the really obsecure Star Wars RTS that pretty much was bashed on for being boring as hell. Yet I really loved it for some odd ass reason, something about trying to manage an entire galactic war single handedly was fun. I'd have Vader trying to sabotage a shield generator in one system, building a Death Star in another, and sending the Emperor around for diplomatic reasons in yet another. I'm guessing that the whole game taking place on one screen with tons of pop-ups telling you what's happening wasn't very appealing to a lot of people.
Outside of that, probably Sonic and the Secret Rings. It really feels like a great platforming insanity, after you suffer for hours on ends to finally get Sonic the skills he needs so he doesn't handle a like a slow inept wimp.
