I shelled out $70 for Donkey Kong 64...they don't look like much now but back then cutting edge games cost plenty. But on topic, no, not really. I remember asking for a few games, but they never really bought me games. They gave me an Atari in preschool, and a Sega Genesis with Sonic 2 for Christmas when I was 8. All the games for my Genesis and future systems I bought myself though, other than a couple gifts from my grandparents. |
I remember getting DK64 too, i think it was 60 or 70, are you sure it was 70?
But that's justified, because it had an expansion pack in the box with it. When games are packaged with hardware, it's expected that they will cost more than normal (WiiFit.) Can you think of any other examples?
I can't believe Phantasy Star II cost 90 dollars!
TC, how was your experience with Phantasy Star II back then. Was it worth it? Did you beat it?
