If you're using internet, it means you're likely near a computer that has a better and bigger browser. As for the loading times, it will help some, but no developer will ever be able to develop strictly for the increased ram because anyone with an old PSP would not want that game. You could make the argument that the slim will completely replace the old PSP, but with updates like these, I would imagine a lot of people that already have a PSP, all 20 million of them, will not be upgrading. As I've said a few times now, this is just a slap in the face and shows that Sony just doesn't care about its consumers. |
Yeah as a current PSP owner I'm pretty disappointed. There isn't much purpose in upgrading for me anyway. I know some people's opinions differ but I was expecting a redesign, not... well basically nothing at all. A couple games in the future may have better load times, but it doesn't help the ones I already own, and they didn't fix the problems I have with the controls. It doesn't appear that my opinion is the majority of PSP owners on this board though, so to each his own. I gotta keep my PSP around at least until CCFFVII, but I'm just not real happy with it right now. Not real happy with the amount of Wii games either. Thankfully I have a DS around to cover my gaming needs while I wait for more PSP and Wii games, and I'll be getting a 360 soon so I think I'm doing okay.
