Hmmm, interesting comparison...
I actually have to go with Dragon Quest.
Love the art style, the humor, especially Dragon Quest 8
I have tried many Final Fantasy games and I have somehow found myself bored in the end. Doesn't have that hook for me yet. Oh well, maybe FFIV will do the trick...until then, it is Dragon Quest.
