Either way, id wants Microsoft to waive the royalty fees for the third disc, since they think the compression will hurt the game's graphics. Not that the game can't fit on two discs, just the textures with minimal compression.

Then again, I have yet to see a game fail, where reduced graphics was the sole factor. So even if it comes to that, would it really hurt the game?

Of course some would claim this proves the superiority of blu-ray, but id did not claim the three discs were a problem, just that paying extra royalties were.
