Sorry my raid experience differs greatly :)
We don't "obey" our raid leader, we all discuss about strat and always try to find a better way to kill stuff, we have a fun time chatting on vent and are a tight group of people.
We don't follow strat much either as we are far enough ahead in the raiding curve that strats were not available when we started to work on the latest raid bosses. ( and for Sunwell in particular strats have to be tailored heavilly to the strenght of your raid/guild). First time we raided Sunwell, we spent 3 hours going over logs and chatting about it afterwards on vent...
We had to make our own strat for Kalegcos, Brutallus, Felmyst and Twins and are now very close to killing M'uru with our own strat too...
Half of the guild actually has a job is aged over 24 so the urban legend about raiders living in their parent's basement doesn't really apply either...
As for the person commenting how pvp is a grind, have you tried to arena ?????
And no we don't raid for gear, anyone that applies to the guild and puts an emphasis on gear or mentions gear too often while in the guild usually doesn't stay long around.
Better gear is only the mean to be able to down harder stuff, gear in itself has no purpose......
