One of the biggest hurdles for Playstation 3 is multicore architecture. Which incidentally is the future. Expect the next Xbox to use a multicore architecture as well. The same headaches and pains the PS3 has, will be on the next gen of consoles. The PS3 for all intents and purposes for its hardships, is still, forward thinking.

The 360 uses a multicore architecture as well.  It's just 3 symmeric CPUs vs a PPU and several SPEs

Of course, PCs are already using 4 cores.

This is true, but I figure developer's will have a real pain in the ass once they realize they can't shortcut their way around.  The PS3 was developed for the graphic card and the cell to be used together.  Unfortunately, most devs just use the graphic card.

You really dont understand what you are talking about.
