I prefer a second rate console to second rate games/online experience. An awesome SNES game is still more fun today than trying to muddle through some of Lair's levels. As for being loyal? What kind of excuse is that? How about Sony be loyal to its consumers, and not force them to subsidize their choice in the video formatwar? When PS3 came out, all the sony fans got to pay an extra couple hundred dollars so Sony can make money on Blu-Ray going forward...
