One of the biggest hurdles for Playstation 3 is multicore architecture. Which incidentally is the future. Expect the next Xbox to use a multicore architecture as well. The same headaches and pains the PS3 has, will be on the next gen of consoles. The PS3 for all intents and purposes for its hardships, is still, forward thinking.
