Don't know why people are still talking about it to be honest. There is zero indication the PS3 has/had supply problems last week. People who work in the stores said it was bullshit, people who went into the stores to check said it was bullshit, Sony haven't come out and said expect shortages. Somehow MS got the new 60GB out ok. If they had sold low numbers would people use the excuse about "phasing" the old ones out? Plus add to this there is no confirmation/comment from Sony about it and seeing as they are a shares company they would be bound by stock exchange to inform their customers of the restraint like other companies do. That has not happend so thus it is bullshit. All this evidence points to it being bull and we have just 1 guy saying there is/was a problem. We should just accept it was a bad week for Sony and move on with our lives..

or...maybe you can accept that there were ACTUAL shortages, so you can move on with your own life.

I would accept it if there was evidence for it so don't be stupid. Where is the proof in these claims hey? None what so ever. Look at the sales for the past few weeks and yoy get this picture

19th July - 57k PS3  - 360 117k

12th July - 72k PS3 - 360 48k

5th July - 59k PS3 - 360 52k

28th June - 56k PS3 - 360 56k

Meaning the PS3 average for what the past month has been about 55k? So this week the PS3 sells 28k which is nearly 30k less then the previous week. There are many reasons why people might not have bought a PS3, the effects of E3 with the FFXIII thing, the fact the 360 was cheaper and rumours around the PS3 might get a price cut and so on. A loss of 30k does not sound like a restraint to me, it sounds like an excuse for poor sales, and the evidence looks and supports that fact wether you believe it or not. Until we have someone at Sony come out and address their stockholders like both MS and Nintendo did with their restraints then this is bullshit.
