U shouldn't try to help somebody being attacked unless u have a weapon or there is a clear opening that u can take advantage of. I would say that in a bus it would be the worst place to try and help somebody. It's narrow so there is not much room and not to mention that if he were to elbow u (if u were coming from behind him) and u were to fall on the floor, if nobody else was helping, that'd be ur ass. Also, IDK if the bus was moving or not, but if it was, that would be another thing u would have to take into consideration. All in all, I think a gun would be much easier to apprehend the guy than a knife IMO.
