| Dolla Dolla said: Actually, selnor, the term Falcon describes the entire make-up, not just the chipset. So, Falcon means the motherboard revision to hold the 65nm CPU and 90nm GPU. So, Falcon isn't side-by-side with Jasper, because Jasper is another motherboard revision to hold the 65nm CPU and 65nm GPU. There is also an Opus build they are using in some of the fixes when people send in their boxes. And, when people say it cost the same as the 20GB USED to cost, it was BEFORE the price cut. It doesn't cost 299, it is 349. And the release date is August 4th, not mid-August. |
I saw no need to state the obviousness of the motherboard changing as well. Of course a motherboard has to change when the die size changes. But in the essence of the concept Falcon is because of the CPU change. The motherboard would not change unless the CPU was changing.
So I felt no need to mention the motherboard because apart form the CPU fit on motherboard changing everything else on motherboard stayed the same.
