honestly I agree with the above. If you do not have an iphone, get an iphone. I only really carry my PSP with me for long car trips where I'm not driving while the iphone never leaves my side.
As to the DS/PSP choice, I would take PSP hands down. First the PSP has better games if you're an adult (crisis core, chains of olympus, star ocean 1 and 2 coming out, a few GTA/MGS games ect.) plus there are a lot of PS1 games you can download from the PSN store and put on your PSP (the best being casilvania symphony of the night, by far the best PS1 era game). Also you can make skype calls (thats right! with wifi free phone calls!), play all kinds of movies if you put them on the memory stick on a computer or the PS3, play some PS3 games remotely, stream music and more. It is a very cool device that does way more then just play games. It's kind of an iphone stand in if you can't afford an iphones monthly charges (has internet, wifi features, media features ect).
On DS the hard drive is more or less nonexistant, you can't store things on it. The PSP on the other hand holds memory sticks which are getting to 8 or 16GB in size (thats a full season of a TV show or every song you own twice or 32 PS1 games.)
PSN ID: ChosenOne feel free to add me
