Well we won't see if there is momentum until after 4-6 weeks or so.  So far we have seen an increase of 240% for the first week since the price reduction.  Also, don't forget, that the price reduction didn't come in until 9th of July, so there was 2 full days worth of trading at the previous price of $599 before the $100 price reduction.

Personally, I don't think there will be a huge shift in sales at the moment.  I reckon the price reduction will see an average of 50% increase in sales.  Which is pretty good considering.  But we won't see a proper shift in sales until the price has come down further still (i.e. $399) and the "BIG" games start appearing.  So in short, I reckon it won't be until next year before we see the shift in momentum for the sales.

In North America, I reckon Sony will be aiming at an average of 60-70k units per week, but as I've said, I can't see weekly sales getting this high until next year.
