Rendering a jungle environment is much more difficult than rendering a burnt out city. Its part of the reason Crysis is viewed so highly. The texture quality in Uncharted seems to trump Killzone as well. The game reminds me of Tomb Raider Legend with a bit of the Gears of War cover system thrown in. If it plays even half as well as it looks it will be the PS3 game to get this holiday season. |
That's pretty much what they're going for. At Sony's Gamer's Day event, the developers commented in one of 1up's (I think it was 1up's) videos that it's a mix of a bunch of different games. It has a bit of Tomb Raider, they mentioned Resident Evil 4, and they talked about Gears of War's cover system as well.
