I wouldn't be so quick as to think MS has all that much in the pipeline though :P I'm not saying they don't mind you, but more and more people seem to be paying for the service that is today, and as long as you guys keep paying for it, I doubt Microsoft has any incentive to up the ante, after all, it is what they do with operating systems no? :P

PSN being free, needs to see a way to pull people into the store, I can imagine things like Sony held weekly tournaments to win a free game download, or a few free movie rentals, get people to play they're games more often, get more practice, etc etc.

The trophies thing is a great start, as is the unified name. If they can get login's for the PSP, and have PSP games access trophies as well, it would be another reason to pick one up. PSP access to the store is of course a great idea also.

The fact that video downloads can be moved to your PSP is of course great, same with the playlists for music and such :P

Now that they're trying to pull SOE into the mix of they're gaming studio's, it wouldn't surprise me to see more MMO's on the box either, it's something that I'm personally waiting for :P FFXI was FANTASTIC on the PS2, I'm just waiting for WOW on the PS3, and I'm set :D

And then finally, when Home brings itself about, they'll have a theoretical brand new interface that people can choose to use. I'm hoping it'll be a new face for social gaming and really bring out what they're networking capabilities are. I'm imagining things like re-creating press events, having area's you can go to and actually talk to big-shot game developers, similar to press panels and what not, MASSIVE area's in the city decked out in specific game decor to promote a new title, and then the product placement that will generate income and potentially make the world feel more real.

The path they seem to be taking is opening up into a VERY broad range of directions, and I can EASILY see it "passing" live and become everything it wishes it could be. Microsoft seems to be taking they're OS's approach at live, and in the end it will slam them in the ass. People shouldn't be paying for what they offer, and when they finally realize this, the PSN will seem worlds more attractive.
