@Sqrl: I know that 24 hours is quite extreme and nowhere near the normal wait time. My comment was directed more towards those who are aware of the hospital wait time issue here in Canada. How severe was your friend's medical emergency? In Canada, to see a doctor in under an hour, the emergency would have to be critical.
