Wow, that's a lot to write when you don't watch the video. It's not a level at all, it's a tech demo. It's one enemy out in an open area, with three pieces of cover. The person destroys parts of the cover, and the one enemy reacts to it. WHen the cover is gone, the guy moves to new cover. I would assume this means most all enemies in the game will have this AI. It also means if you destroy different parts of the map in a second play though, they will fight you differently. it's not a huge deal, but it's still a nice thing (and I know of no other game at the moment doing this well). To look at it and say anything negative, is just mindless bashing. It from people who want the game to suck. |
@Cal4m1ty,
Yeah you need to watch the video if you're going to comment, its not long and then you would have all the facts. I don't think it is scripted at all, from the way they demoed it to the way it looked it definitely appears dynamic.
@TheRealMafoo,
I actually think its more impressive than the graphics tbh, and that is not meant at all as a bash on the graphics. I just think graphics are at "good enough" levels in games and prefer to see AI improvements as I feel there is far more to be gained there right now. Still though, like I said this particular feature isn't unique, but its certainly not widespread either. I would name the game I'm referring to but I'm pretty sure KZ2 fans are tired of hearing that name. Honestly though I think KZ2 does this better than..the "other" game, it certainly appears that way at least. I'll let you know after I've played it =)
