First of all, I assume that this current promotion of the 60g model will last at least until august. When the actual levels of this console get to low enough levels, I expect sony to cut the price of the 80g model in a similar way after sales of the 60g model die down to low low levels.
I also expect that next week's sales will be a little bit lower, due to the fact that console price cuts always seem to invoke a very strong immediate response, with a somewhat weaker, but still better than "normal" level of sales, which will probably be in the high 30K's. Keep in mind that the 360 is about to get its own price cut, so that will actually decrease the PS3's sales by a bit just as the current PS3 price cut is decreasing the 360's sales by a fair bit, so I am bringing that number down from the low 40K range to something that sounds more conservative, in the low 30K range.
After the next week, I expect sales to settle again down to about 30K-35K util the 60g model is hard to find, and when the 80g model has its own sale, I expect a similar level of sales, that is until november when the holidays start pushing up sales like crazy.
