I'd never consider doing all that. I'm playing Final Fantasy IV right now, and I don't think I could get 100% in it. I just don't have the patience to get all the colored tails in the game. It took me 3 hours to get the darn Rainbow Pudding XD. I hope most of you used guides because if you did everything yourself, then...god help you.
So far the closest I got to 100 is FF4DS. My characters were mid eighties when I beat the game. That's the strongest I've ever leveled my characters in an RPG for the endgame :O and that's because of the Level Lust augment.
Still, I love RPGs and can understand why someone would aim for perfection.
