Sounds like the 360 is doing the right thing then just like the PS2 did.
Sadly this doesn't change the fact that the 360 will end up third this gen. Which could have something to do with the mediocre (terrible) build quality, the base SKUs without HD, WLAN, or even rechargeable controllers. But yes MS did many things right for developers. One important factor.
