GTA 4 is a good example of where PSN is unquestionably superior to XBL -- for that game (and some others) it provides dedicated servers. So rather than having some guy's Xbox on his shitty home connection running your game, you have a professional, dedicated server with high bandwidth running your game. You don't have to worry about:
(1) The host advantage (the host has no lag)
(2) Host unreliability -- on XBL, hosts drop out all of the time, games can be extra laggy because of it, etc.
(3) All the players machines' being able to directly connect. They all connect to the server instead of all connecting to one Xbox.
