Wonder if they would stop releasing GTA on the PS3 - given it represents around 40% of the companys sales profit - is it worth making a huge loss just to buy some over hyped game in a shrinking market ??
Nintendo is looking to take over 50% market , the Ps3 is catching the 360 and X360 is dropping market % every week, buy the time GTA5 arrives it will be around 50:50 X360:Ps3. Take two's will take a huge loss without the PS3 game sales , the company would be a huge finantial loss for the buyer !.
Mario Kart Wii is selling far better than GTA4 ever did on 360 or Ps3 - at current differential Mario Kart Wii will have outsold both platform totals in one years time.! Of course Mario Kart DS has allready sold over 11 million.
The trick with taking over a games company is to do it while they are emerging - not after they have peaked - profit will only fall from that point.
When Sony bought evolution studios their timing was spot on - small company low price , but motorstorm pacifica will easily sell 5 Million and the first motortorm was the PS3's top selling game and package deal from early on.
