Ratchet aint exactly story heavy, and you can always catch up on wiki

Jak games are so good that you should get them, though we do not know what form the J & D PS3 game is going to take (or whether it is actually ever going to come)

 

Yeah, I knew that the Ratchet and Clank games were not story heavy. It was the gameplay that was making the game get high review scores and positive word of mouth. But considering the gameplay is the same thing on the PS3 version of Rachet and Clank. I will just skip all those PS2 Ratchet and Clanks and buy the PS3 Ratchet and Clank and also buy the whole Jak and Daxter Trilogy.

Considering I never played a Jak game ever too!! So that will help out and plus the Jak games are backwards compatiable with the 80GB PS3 without any problems. According to Sony official website.
