Well, is the visual/audio really much better enough to warrant the extra cost? I dont think so
Depends on your TV, sound system and movie category.
Would I buy a romatic comedy for more money on BluRay? No. Is there a big difference on a 26" TV? No.
But if you have a nice TV and a movie that lives from its beautiful pictures. (300, Superman, any Pixar movie, Pirates ...) it is really worth it. I really wait for Lord of the Rings on BluRay. This will be ever more true when the prices converge and the TVs get better.
