It doesn't load form the disk, it streams to the Hard Drive while you play, so when you get to the end of the level, the next one is already there for you. This could be done on the 360, if it was only allowed to be played on a 360 with a hard drive.

Uncharted could not be done on the 360, because a lot of the effects that were done took advantage of the insane floating point math in the PS3. It's not that a great game that rivals it's look (like farcry 2) cannot achieve visual parody , it's that the visual techniques used in Uncharted could not be done on the 360.

Farcry looks great. It will look great on the PS3 and the 360. What makes Uncharted look great on the PS3, can not be done in the 360.

Games do cache on the Xbox360 HDD - So therefore only Arcade users would see a loading screen.

The Xenon is no slouch for floating point performance, the real issue is the 8 render passes that are done in the game on the Xbox360. It would have to be completely redone to suit the Xbox360 architecture.

Uncharted couldn't be done on the Xbox360 AS IS, but it could be made/rewritten to work on the Xbox360.

I am sure if they wrote uncharted for the 360, it would be just as fun to play, and what you would loose visually, would have no real impact. The Cell is good at doing the types of math needed for great fluid dynamics. You would have to greatly reduce the water calculations on the 360. In the end however, it probably won't matter much.

It does make things look nice when you simulate them though. A good example is the water effects in Gears 2 vs Resistance 2. Gears water looks like a joke in comparison.
