It shouldn't the only thing that might make a difference is like I said, many 1080p TV's have much better screen displays than lower resolution displays which would result in a better picture regardless of what resolution it was. on a 32" set or around that size 720p is just dandy and 1080i is the SAME resolution it's a lower frame rate though. But honestly if your eyes can tell the difference between 60 and 30 frames per second god bless you lol You might notice some motion blur in computer generated images but a good refresh rate and Hz rating would fix that regardless of interlaced or progressive.
