Speculation thread. If Nintendo dominates enough, could MS & Sony unite?

Microsoft started making consoles to ruin Sony's seemingly huge monopoly they had, I doubt they'd merge. Microsoft has made like 3 DS games though, so if anyone were to merge it would be those two.
