I haven't played FFT, but I've played both FFTA games and both are pretty easy. Real strategy is almost never required and most missions are a walk in the park. I don't think that there's much difference between the PS1/PSP games and the GBA/DS games in terms of difficulty.

There's a lot of differences between the two. In fact, aside from the basic battle framework the two have zero in common.

@ecurbj: If you want, I can tell you the incredibly cheap and easy way to make your team God-like in just an hour. Alternatively, I can tell you how to strenghten up quickly enough to make the rest of the game easier to go through, but still challenging (up to chapter four, anyway, when all challenge goes out the window). Let me know which you prefer.

I would prefer the first option on having the God-Like in just an hour.

And spdk1, yea I think I just jump straight into the story segments and get thrashed and then get highly pissed off at the game quick.
