Current gen Graphic cards allow people to plug directly to the TV. Hence, if someone really wanted it, they could just aswell play infront of their tv. I know a great many people that have a home theater PC which is prettymuch putting a PC in your living room that acts as an entertainment hub to play movies, music etc. |
That's assuming a few things though.
That's assuming I have a current gen graphic card because I could have bought one 6 months ago and it's nowhere near current.
That's assuming my TV has a PCMI slot if my graphics doesn't have the other hookups.
That's assuming I want to go through the hassle of moving my computer from my desk and fiddle around behind my TV every time I want to play a game. Not everyone uses their PC solely for gaming, some people aren't 12 and do actual work and non gaming stuff on theirs.
