My main problem with the watching it over is because you see just how annoying and korny his dad was. The whole I have to be the good guy and can let a criminal run loose thing was fucking terrible. The 2nd time around. The first time I didnt notice. Also I felt like they stretched out the story with Near/Mello. And Ls random ass theories being correct were also annoying....like Nears. Definitly check out MONSTER. I like the manga because the animes art isnt my style but if youre not gonna buy the manga just watch the sub episodes online.

I dunno. L's theories seemed solid to me based on reasoning.
The real problem with deathnote is that is that it's a thriller. It isn't like other shows where the action is contained in... well action.
It came from the "magic" tricks and findign out what caused what. A magic show isn't thrilling anymore once you know all the trciks.
While somethign like Bleach is more "hey lets look at the fanc fighting" and watchign people beat the crap out of each other rarely gets old.
