Because they spended $2000 on it.. and are enoying games as much as the Kid who paid $249 for his Wii..

 

Almost no one spends $2000 on a PC.. I even would bet that only 1%(or less) of PC owners bought have ever bought a $2000 PC. I'm a big PC gamer and I have never bought a PC over $1100 (and that's including monitor, keyboard, mouse, OS, etc...).

And today PCs are cheaper than ever, with high-end PCs only costing around $1200, instead of the $2000 of 5 years ago.

PC games are also cheaper than ever. Nowadays you see many games being released at $30 or $40 price point, while HD console gamers are stuck on buying them at $60.
