1200 titles are supported in firmware v1.6. That machine they tested it on was not running firmware v1.6
You still don't know what firmware v1.6 is going to make playable. It could come out and those games could still not work. 1200 titles is about 50% of the PS2 catalog!!! So if 11 of out the 12 games on the list worked then about 6 more should work because of the firmware update (assumptions on my part of course). Still, some GOOD games are going to not play.
