Yeah, the PS2 has had a long lifespan because of it's popularity, despite it being the least powerful of the consoles. The most powerful console last gen was the first to be replaced If the PS3 wanted to last 10 years, it needed to have overtaken the 360 and Wii by now
I'm going to go out on a limb and make some predictions
PS3 end of life sales 75 million
The Wii will have a longer lifespan than the PS3
