To be sure, European gamers do pay more for hardware and software, but the difference is not as big as most naive comparisons make it seem.

Actually, in Canada we used to have to pay about $50 more per console and $10 more per game, but once our dollar became on par with the American one, our prices were lowered to match theirs.
