I think Zen makes a lot of sense, wait for IGN or Gamespot before declaring victory. If the graphical differences are minor then I'd rather purchase the cheaper system (360) to play the game. However, if the game play suffers (e.g. frame rate) then it's different story.
Many have said Burnout is better for PS3. I've copied and pasted a section of a Gamespot review for Burnout Paradise below.
"If you're looking for differences between the two versions, you won't find many. The PlayStation 3 version looks maybe a hair crisper than the 360 version, but that's about the only visual difference to speak of. On the flipside, the 360 version has a slight edge in that you can use custom soundtracks to drown out the miserable collection of songs EA has amassed for the game."
My question is at what point does it no longer matter? If things like these are all that separate the 360/PS3 versions of game X then I'm glad I got a 360 (... and a Wii).
I guess I'm going to be attacked now but that's alright cause I'm cool :)
