Making it won't probably cost too much and even with high piracy rates they're bound to get some money. However, they might still not release it on PC. The same case as with exclusives; it's not always about money. Maybe they want to keep Final Fantasy a console title... Or maybe they don't like PC... Or maybe they think PC players would like some changes (interface and such - remember Oblivion?) (in which they would be right). Or maybe there's some other reason. |
Ignoring FF11 since it is an MMO, FF7 and FF8 were ported to PC, so it isn't like they are stepping into unknown terriory. That said, you are correct in the fact that they still may not do a PC release for all sorts of reasons.
