Well, I live in one of those 'Others' countries (I'm assuming the EU counts). I've never seen any real tendency of people around me to avoid American products.

Some might not be too positive about the USA, but they still drink Coca Cola and still buy Hollywood movies. Etc.

I've always thought that MS's problems with selling it's Xbox on 'the continent' (at least) are more due to the fact that people view it as a cheap, somewhat shoddy product. Don't underestimate how much bad press it got from non-gaming publications.

Nintendo seems to sell to a wide audience, but mostly families with kids and the PS3 is bought by well to do PS2 owners and ignored by everyone else because it's too expensive (several people I know want one but don't buy it because it's too expensive).

The PS3 seems to do better than it 'should' due to people still equating gaming with 'Playstation'. Which is, considering two years ago PS2 was all you could see here, not so odd.

(All of this is anecdotal -definitely not 'evidence'-, but thats how it seems to be to me. It's also not how I feel about the consoles. I see all three as a viable option for gaming, each with a different focus)
