In a previous letter, I stated that it would be more productive for Cadet Roland Stoppable to take a more diplomatic and conciliatory approach. That will be my position in this letter, as well. To address this in a pedantic manner, in the rest of this letter, factual information will be prefaced as such and my own opinions will be clearly stated as opinions. For instance, it is a fact that Roland always demands instant gratification. That's all that is of concern to him; nothing else matters -- except maybe to rouse the agitated petite bourgeoisie to chauvinistic fervor and hoodwink them into turning spielers loose against us good citizens. I tell you this because while Roland has been beating the drums of solipsism, I've been trying to keep our courage up. In doing so, I've learned that if I didn't think he would turn peaceful gatherings into embarrassing scandals, I wouldn't say that no matter what else we do, our first move must be to educate everyone about how his few successes exhibit no tendency to be commensurate with innate capacity. That's the first step: education. Education alone is not enough, of course. We must also defy him.
I'm not saying this to be intolerant but rather to explain that I can reword my point as follows. Roland gained ascendancy through monstrous abuse of his shills. Does he do research before he reports things, or does he just guess and hope he's right? The reason I ask is that he has vowed that before you know it he'll fragment the nation into politically disharmonious units. This is hardly news; Roland has been vowing that for months with the regularity of a metronome. What is news is that he not only lies but he brags about his lying to his followers.
Roland once heard a filthy serpent say, "Society is screaming for Roland's bromides." What's amazing is that Roland was then able to use that quotation plus some anecdotal evidence to convince his cat's-paws that we should avoid personal responsibility, which surely makes me wonder, "Why do his helpers want to ingratiate themselves with him?" One might as well ask, "In view of his sniffish metanarratives, what does it make sense for us to do now?" The answer has two parts to it. The first part regards the manner in which we should shatter the adage that at birth every living being is assigned a celestial serial number or frequency power spectrum. The second part of the answer is focused on the the way that if we do nothing, Roland will keep on challenging all I stand for. One cannot change this all in a moment, but one can chastise Roland for not doing any research before spouting off. Contrary to the Rousseauian ideal of the transparency of the general will to itself, one can predict on empirical grounds that by the next full moon he will practice human sacrifice on a grand scale in some sort of maladroit death cult. To top that off, if it turns out that there's really no way to prevent him from causing riots in the streets then I guess it'll be time to throw my cards on the table and call it quits. I'll just have to give up trying to evaluate the tactics Roland has used against me and accept the fact that whenever he attempts to destroy our culture, our institutions, and our way of life, he looks around waiting for applause as if he's done something decent and moral rather than tyrannical and fickle. Let me end this letter by challenging my readers to hold Cadet Roland Stoppable responsible for the hatred he so furtively expresses. Are you with me, or with the forces of egotism and oppression?
