I fired up my 360 to play some rock band and all was well for about 1 minute. The game locked up so I shut down and restarted. Low and behold, three red lights. I shut it down, unlplugged power, plugged back in again and it fired up, then locked up again, then TRL'd again after restarting. Oh the irony. This will be my SIXTH 360 and NONE of the previous failures were TRL but other problems. 3 DVD drive and one Cooling Fan issue. They are overnighting everything and said turnaround would be a week or less since I've gone through so many. I'm on hold with customer service to see if I can get a Jasper unit or something... This is a July 2006 piece of hardware that went through the refurbish process. I can see the updated heat sync inside so it's new hardware. Just not new enough, I guess.
I have too many games and there are too many exclusives coming for the 360 for me to give up on it so I'll just have to take my lumps. I've got a Wii (it has failed once, too) and a PS3 to keep me company in the mean time.
I just thought I'd share. I really love the games on my 360 but man this sucks a hairy sack.
