)The next step in a great legacy(PS1 and PS2 = 14 years of fun and sucess vs XBox's 4 year obsolence flops DVDs won't get it past 2011)

)Everything I need, if I had bought an XBox 360 I would of spent an extra $300 to get me what the extra $100 in costs gives me and then only to have it potentially RROD.

)Free online.  Main features:game play, friends, voice chats, trophies, invites, messaging are all there and no ridiculous $70 Live fees.

)Doesn't sound as loud as my air conditioning unit.

)Looks a lot nicer in my media centre: Piano black and chrome Sharp Aquos, pinao black laptop, piano black and chrome PS3...  a cheap plastic 360 would not fit in.

)Controller.  Why invert the the left analog so that it is in a completely different place?  They represent move and look in most games and work together, keep them mirrored.  I get rechargable, motion and rumble.  Xbox 360 gamers only get rumble.

)Knowing that I can play most games 360 owners play plus play their faux-exclusives Gears, Viva Pinata, Mass Effect, Bio Shock, the list goes on, on my PC...if I had went with a 360, I wouldn't be able to play MGS4, Uncharted, Rachet, Resistance etc.

)A back library of over 2000 games!  While the competition struggles to play %40 of their already tiny back library.

)Complements the PSP and vice versa.

Probably the least important but no one's mentioned it so I'll post it.
It looks damn good.  Physically it's the best looking system, glossy black with chrome trim.  When you stand it up it looks like some big futuristic skyscraper.
