If Sony do in fact reduce the price of the PS3 again before Xmas, then they could have a bumper Xmas this year. If the 60Gb is sold out and the 80Gb takes its place and then is reduced to say $449 or even $399 then it will do very well in NA.
I reckon it's very likely that we will see a pricedrop in Europe as well before the end of the year. A £299 PS3 in the UK and a £349 PS3 Starter Pack will be the way to go.
Prediction (June 12th 2017)
Permanent pricedrop for both PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro in October.
PS4 Slim $249 (October 2017)
PS4 Pro $349 (October 2017)
